Amended description - A 1920s cold painted bronze figure in the manner of Bergmann, modelled as an Egyptian sarcophagus, opening to reveal a naked figure with arms crossed, on square marble plinth, height 16.5cm.

The figure bears no stamps or markings, but has not been removed from the marble plinth. There is slight wear to the painted finish of the sarcophagus, especially around the face, but more noticeable wear to the nude figure inside.
