A late 19th to early 20th Century German Lehmann No. 185 Coco Climbing Toy, circa 1889-1935, tinplate mechanical toy consists of a coconut tree with brown base and leaves to top, with climbing 'Coco' figure and a coconut weight, height 37cm, with original box with illustrated label and instructions.
NB - Identical in operation to the Lehmann Gustav Miller toy - coconut is hung on moveable red hook beneath palm crown and Coco climbs up the tree to get the coconut, when the coconut is on Coco's head he will climb back down the tree.
Some age related wear. Coco needs a little encouragement to climb! Leaves are coiled and need straightening. Label to box has tears. Box lid and base have tears.
