A 19th Century Minton Majolica monkey teapot, the glazed teapot modelled in relief depicting a monkey dressed in a waistcoat, grasping a melon, picked out in ochre, cobalt and green glazes, the interior glazed turquoise, impressed shape number 1844 and date code, height 15cm.

- Firing crack approx. 1cm in length visible to the monkey's right ear
- Small chip to the cover insert
- Small areas of re-painting to the blue glaze at the cover insert
- Minor glaze wear throughout
- Scuffing and wear to the underside of the base
