£15,300
A 1970s John Bonham owned and worn brown leather Jacket with brown faux fur trim collar, no makers label, with label stating made in spain, armpit to armpit 22", overall length 44", arm length 24.5".
PROVENANCE - This leather jacket has been consigned directly from Allan Weaver, John Bonham's brother in law.
After the first suit, a pinstripe example made by John H. Robinson, was sold at Fieldings Auctioneers on 25th September 2025, lot 168, Mr. Weaver decided to consign the further items he had kept over the years. Please see the accompanying letter from Mr. Weaver and additional photos of Mr. Weaver and his brother in law John Bonham.
We have further found a black and white promo image from 1972 with John Bonham wearing an identical photo and further images with John Bonham and Led Zeppelin. In these photographs John Bonham is wearing an identical leather Jacket, which we strongly believe is the same leather coat, however we have no further confirmation.
Whilst Mr. Weaver has made comparisons with the coat worn on the front cover of Led Zeppelin's album II. We are unable to confirm this and would like any potential bidders to satisfy themselves that it is the same coat.
Fieldings Auctioneers are approximately 20 miles from John Bonham’s childhood home and a West Midlands based auctioneers we are so delighted to offer items from a local and international legend.
