An early 19th Century sycamore oval tea caddy with marquetry floral detail to both the front and the hinged cover, some later restorations, height 12cm and width 14cm.
Some minor dents in places. Some very small sections of infilled repair to the marquetry detail to the front (around the top right hand flower head). The keyhole escutcheon has been replaced. There is a 3cm split to the rear that has been infilled. The caddy has been re-polished. There is a 6mm wide section of veneer missing adjacent to the hinge. There is no key. The green felt lining to the base is later.
