£3,000 - £5,000
A Herend porcelain coffee service comprising coffee pot, covered sugar, cream jug, six pedestal cups and six matched saucers, all of fluted rectangular form with open pierced reticulated base stands, hand enamelled in the Persian Miniatures pattern with miniature panels depicting scenes of Maharajah, officials and courtiers in Arcadian landscapes with ornate foliate panels opposing with gilded highlights.
All in mint condition and first quality with no struck through marks and all with no damage or losses - additional information from the vendor - I can’t give you a definitive date, but I would confidently say early to mid 80’s as that was the time my parents began to actively get involved in buying pieces. I’ve found the first ever Connoisseur brochure which states that they started in 1979 and my parents bought one of their first creations off the retailer from whom they subsequently purchased the Herend.
