A 1978 John Bonham owned and worn blue velvet suit, with inside pocket label John H. Robinson 22a Unicorn Hill, Redditch with handwritten Bonham Esq March 1978,  jacket size 40", waist size 34", inside leg size 31". 

PROVENANCE - This suit has been consigned directly from Allan Weaver, John Bonham's brother in law.
After the first suit, a pinstripe example made by John H. Robinson, was sold at Fieldings Auctioneers on 25th September 2025, lot 168, Mr. Weaver decided to consign the further items he had kept over the years. Please see the accompanying letter from Mr. Weaver and additional photos of Mr. Weaver and his brother in law John Bonham. 

We have had further confirmation from the Tailors John H. Robinson, who confirm that they made the suit for John Bonham in 1978. Please see the additional photo of John Bonham and Mr. Robinson, who were childhood friends. The photos show Mr. Robinson measuring John Bonham for a white suit.

Mr. Lawrence Robinson stated during a recent conversation:

‘We would deliver a suit to John on the Friday for a gig or a party and he would come back on the Monday with the trashed white suit, asking us to make another.'
