A 19th Century Turkmen Saryk full pile Khorjin (saddle bag) woven with geometric patterns, 104cm x 45cm.
NB - Saryk (Saruk) was one of the important nomad Turkmen tribes, these are often called saddle bags however would not fit across a large animal such as a horse or camel. They were used as shoulder bags by tribesmen for carrying a variety of goods.
Excellent condition.
all fastening loops still intact.
