King George III and the Duke of Kent were father and son, both playing important roles in British royal history. George III reigned as king from 1760 to 1820, known for his long and eventful rule. His fourth son, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn, was born in 1767 and is perhaps best remembered as the father of Queen Victoria. The Duke of Kent had a distinguished military career and served in various roles within the British Army. His legacy is closely tied to his daughter Victoria, who would become one of Britain’s most famous monarchs, shaping the Victorian era after George III’s reign ended.
