A 19th Century Turkoman Yomud tent band fragment, finely woven in red and blue, 115cm x 42cm.
NB - This fragment is a section of a much larger band used to hold the tent poles together on the inside. This is a highly decorative item for the interior of the yurt. The quality of the craftmanship indicates this was produced for a very important tribesman.
