A large early 20th Century North German reservists pipe mounted on a pine board, constructed out of natural wood sections and interspaced with antler sections and horn mounts, the porcelain pipe bowl transfer printed with an Uhlan Officer at the gallop within a leaf border inscribed 'Wo Ulanen reitan-Spornen, da singen die Madchen und spitzen die Ohren (loosely translated: where the Uhlans ride with spurs, the girls sing and prick up their ears), campaigns to the reverse, length 163cm.
Very good , but pipe tube later replaced
