A 19th Century Ferdinand Barbedienne French gilt-bronze Champlevé enamel centerpiece or jardiniere, decorated in the Chinese taste, the raised scroll supports with pierced lotus borders, the vibrant blue, red and turquoise enamel with central rossette issuing tendrils, with dentil bronze flanges to the the edges, 26cm x 24cm, signed to the lower base F. BARBEDIENNE 1863.

The inner liner has extensive wear and verdigris, with small splits to the corners and edges.
Small losses to the enamel throughout, most noticeable in the purple areas.
Pitting to the enamel throughout.
One of the applied flanges is loose and missing 2 of the four screws that hold it in place.
Natural patination and wear throughout.
In lovely condition, however has wear and aging commensurate with age.
