Daum - Carl Deffner of Esslingen - A cameo glass vase circa 1900, of compressed ovoid form, the body cut with flowers and foliage, picked out in gold to the stippled acid cut ground, mounted to a brass frame with open pierced side supports with angular whiplash handles, stamped CDE to the base, height 17.5cm.
No damage or restoration, some slight wear to the gilding. REFERENCE MARKS - There are no Daum marks visible however the metal mounts are a closed unit. From experience of this range and style of decoration often the mark is gilded to the underside of the foot however this is covered with the metal mounts.
