A late 18th Century porcelain plaque faux framed to resemble a portrait miniature and painted with a profile portrait of George III, painted to reverse 'George the Three', height 11.5cm.

King George III ruled Great Britain from 1760 to 1820, overseeing a period of significant change, including the loss of the American colonies and the struggles of the Napoleonic Wars. Known for his strong sense of duty and interest in agriculture and the arts, his reign was also marked by bouts of mental illness. Despite challenges, George III remained a symbol of stability and dedication during a turbulent era in British history.
