An 18th Century Worcester porcelain  commemorative 'Marine Society' bowl, circa 1760, of circular footed form, circa 1760-62 of plain shallow form, printed in black with Britannia seated with the Trophies of War, flanked by two groups of figures, one with an adult exhorting her youthful charges with the words 'For the service of our country', the other with a young man with 'Marine Society' banner, the reverse with a naval engagement, a portrait of George II to the interior, diameter 16.5cm.

Provenance - Sotheby's 2nd February 1982 - Lot 200.
