An early 20th Century Minton pate-sur-pate plaque by Marc-Louis Solon, decorated in a white slip with a classical goddess wearing a winged helmet surrounded by chained cherubs in a prison cell, on a black ground, signed, 25 x 17.5cm, mounted in an ornate frame.

AMENDED CONDITION REPORT - The marks commented on in the earlier report are a result of factory production. There has been no restoration to the plaque however there are some flaws and faults occurring at time production. These include slight glaze flaws to the reverse of the plaque and the firing crack/flaw (see images) which has been rectified at time of production.

There are NO minton marks but the plaque is signed within the design with Solons signature

PREVIOUS CONDITION REPORT - A tiny bit of kiln dust to the bottom right hand corner and looking at the back it looks like the bottom right hand corner as broken off and restored length of crack approx 2cm. There is also a firing crack half way up the left hand side length approx 4cm and a small repair below this crack to the back. Signed L. Solon.
Framed dimensions - 40cm x 31cm and 5cm deep.
